This course introduces the student to refinishing operations as they relate to the gunsmithing industry. This class focuses on the aesthetics of metals, woods and synthetics of firearms. Upon completion, the student should be able to demonstrate competencies in current gunsmith techniques of synthetic bedding of stocks, polishing and bluing of metals, heat treatment of various metals, and follow safe practices in these manufacturing processes.

Students must possess a valid concealed carry permit. No prerequisite for this course
